Artist Bio
Chris is a diverse artist of many styles and mediums and a musician specialising in guitar and didgeridoo and currently experimenting with electronica. Based in the Fine city of
Norwich he is a student of the Bio sciences studying plant genetics with the hopes of becoming part of the budding industry of alternative fibre crops.
"Although inexorably drawn to create for as long as I can remember I have never seen this as the sole purpose of my existence. It is an outlet I cannot ignore but it can't sustain me on its own. I have always seen the strings between philosophy, art and science and I see no reason to cut them. Empirical thought and theory cannot exist without the infrastructure of experience and assumptions based purely within the mind of the individual and these discoveries cannot flourish within the collective conscious without artistic insight and communication. Even the supposedly 'stale' and 'dry' diagrams of chemistry and mathematical theory require some flexation of the 'artistic' muscle to conceive and to interpret. So if art is the communication of experience then the 'artist' must experience as much and as fully as possible. Only this achievement will allow me to die content."

Chris works mainly with traditional mediums of oils, watercolour and graphite pencils but also creates digital artwork using fractal generating programmes and Photoshop. He also constructs sculptures from found materials. He is interested in musical commissions especially for soundtracks to independent film productions.
